Build-a-Boat Contest 30 June 1991 - Canada Day (July 1st) - one of the annual events is to construct a boat by hand in two hours using $100 material supplied by Slegg Lumber in Sidney,BC . Then launch and race near shore. Hope it doesn’t sink ! Ingenuity and some carpentry skill required. A few are successful !
