Singapore Airlines taxiing at YSSY/SYD airport.I was unable to return to CYZT after 2 weeks down underĀ as both QF/Qantas & NZ/Air New Zealand airlines were on strike. CPAir became the designated airline to carry QF & NZ passengers back to North America. So I found a cheap hotel at Thompson Beach , ate great pub food , drank beer , got to know the locals, absorb sun on the beach & body surf; make like a tourist around greater Sydney . Had to go to the Sydney airport every few days to see if CPAir had a last minute empty seat ???
